I walk on the edge of the sidewalk,
Not in the middle,
Not on the inside edge,
No, I walk on the edge next to the road,
Where I can get soaked by the muddy water,
And where I run the chance of breaking my ankle.

That's right.
I live life on the edge,
Where happenstance is a regular occurance,
And the chances of falling are limitless.
Now don't get my wrong,
The edge isn't a bad place to be.
It's full of excitement, opportunities,
But maybe that's not the life for you.
Maybe you'd rather walk in the middle
Where you have plenty of space,
The path to yourself,
Or maybe you'd rather walk on the inside edge
Where the only peril you'd have to watch out for
Is stepping into the cushy grass.
As for me,
I'll live life on the edge.
