Manassas Ramblings and other Drivel

Okay, so, here's the deal.... I'm planning on having at least 5 more chapters in manassas including the one i'm working on now. I'm shooting on having the book finished in two weeks. if i give myself 2 days per chapter, then that means i have four days extra. I've already used my two days for chapt 18, and most likely i won't have it finished tonight, so i'll be using an extra day for that. Things seem to keep coming up that distract me from writing. like today i ended up going over to my shihan's house and painting part of his barn haha. then i had to go to my bro's bday party... i would have gotten back and started working on it, but i found out that the charger port on my phone was broken, so i ended up having to get a new phone.... and version stores suck at quick service haha. imma try my best to get this chapt done and posted tomorrow sometime. By the 14th of July, I should have this book finished and will start to reread and revise it :)

Something I've been worrying about ever since i started posting the book chapters online has been that ppl will steal it... i know that's probably a really silly fear, but just to be safe, I own Manassas and everything about it... all copyrighted to me... :aww: I own my other stuff too haha, but i've just worried about Manassas mainly =P

hm... so... yeah, i don't have much else to talk about really... um... I finished the nunchaku yesterday and i'm hopefully going to be starting dragon tomorrow. pretty cool stuff... the last animal form i learn before i get my black sash which has been very strongly hinted to me that that might be this Christmas. Cool, but i'm in no hurry. only think i really want to finish is my book xD haha

so, while i'm writing it, any musings on what's going to happen in Manassas?

And, if you don't read Manassas (which you should xD) then, any plans for July 4th?

And for those of you who don't do either, tell me something i don't know about you... :)

DA has a "sort" of automatic copyright for what you post. In your name that is. But if you don't know. A proper copyright, if curt and somewhat unofficial, is (name of the work)(name of artist) copyright (year created).
So it would be
"Manassas" (your full name) Copyright 2009
And that would stand in court a legitimate copyright. It gets more complex with publishing (concerning money earned and all that jazz and dance) but you most likely won't have to deal with that too personally.

All my knowledge on the topic extends from that one week at AI. My chosen subject for the week was Design Management. Feh, like I've said, long strange story.

But anyway! Bought House of Leaves yesterday. And it's just oodles of fun already. It begins with a “fantastic” introduction. By the main character.
And I just picked up the soundtrack to Amalie. If you haven't seen the Movie then it now lives on your brand new "top five movies to see before you Die, on pain of death" list. The soundtrack is "better" than music to my ears. In the right mood I could just sit listening to it while weeping tears of bliss, staring directly into the sun.

yeah, i thought about going back and doing that to all of them, but technically there is a copyright already, below the artist's comments if i'm not mistaken. I just don't know how... legit that is....

yeah, i already knew about the copyright at the bottom thing.... i just wasn't sure about how legit it would be. I suppose technically it would stand up in court... the one thing i am mainly worried about is if someone was somehow able to hack or something and be able to post my script at an "earlier date"... probably just paranoid haha, oh well...

I'm glad you're enjoying House of Leaves. I do want to read it at some point. I never realized how long it was though, but the real length of it is probably different considering the weird typography that i've heard is use in the book. keep me updated on how you like it ^^
